Garden Releaf 2021 was a Great Success

A massive thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to our GARDEN RELEAF 2021 Fundraiser on March 21. With your help, we managed to raise awareness for an incredible charity, Beyond Blue. We also raised over $700, but the most important and rewarding aspect was getting more people out in nature for the day!

Our day started with a tranquil yoga session led by Liliana Harm where each participant donated $5 to Beyond Blue. We had the one-and-only Holly (Basil Robber) serenading us with her beautiful voice and ukulele from the moment we opened the door. Next, we kicked off our workshops with an informative talk on looking after indoor plants with Kay Pearson, head of Horticulture at CQU.

Robyn from Ocean Brew arrived to cook up a storm in the Atrium while Dana manned the coffee hub and Wendy poured home-brewed Roogenic iced teas for our customers. Scott Foden played a few stand-out sets to keep us all entertained, then Jules from Aphrodite Art School held her fabulous pot-painting workshop in the atrium.

Overall, it was a joyful day spent raising money and awareness for Beyond Blue. Thanks to the Garden Centres Association for hosting such an important event.

We’re so grateful for our incredible staff and our contributors: Aphrodite Art School, Scott Foden Music, Ocean Brew Eatery, CQUniversity Australia, and Liliana Harm Yoga.

Thank you all again. We’ll see you here next year.
