Harpullia pendula (Tulipwood)

  • Fast growing evergreen tree, height 7-10m. Pendulum shaped green-yellow flowers in summer. An excellent shade tree and native to Australia. Grows in a sunny position and in most soil types.

Cupaniopsis anacardioides (Tuckeroo)

  • A glossy leaved evergreen with small orange fruit that are great for attracting birds. Growing 6-12m in height makes an ideal shade tree. Prefers a sunny to partly shaded position in humus rich, moist, well draining soil.

Buckinghamia celsissima (Ivory Curl)

  • Evergreen tree with glossy dark green leaves and scaly rough bark. Can grow up to 30m in tropical climates. Bears creamy white flowers with a sweet aroma in the summer. Plant in full sun in moist well drained soil. Water regularily during dry weather.

Poinciana

  • Feathery green leaves, and an abundance of showy red flowers in summer, it produces long decorative seed pods. Makes an excellent shade or feature tree growing to 12m in height. Plant in a sunny to shaded position in moist, well drained soil.

Eucalyptus Ptychocarpa (Swamp Bloodwood)

  • An ornamental tree with large, leathery leaves. Produces spectacular large clusters of red-pink flowers in summer and autumn. Great specimen for attracting nectar feeding birds. Grow in full sun to part shade. Grows best in a damp soil, growing to a height of 12m.

Flindersia Australis (Crows Ash)

  • Growing to 20m high, with dark glossy green foliage and creamy white flowers from spring to summer. Ornamental woody fruit is produced. Makes an excellent shade tree. Plant in full sun in moist, well drained soil. Provide a location with plenty of space.

Elaeocarpus Grandis (Blue Quandong)

  • A fast growing Australian rainforest tree bearing edible blue fruit. With distinctive buttress roots and bird attracting flowers. Growing to 25m in height. Tolerates full sun or part shade. Plant in rich, well drained soil.

Lagerstoemia (Crepe Myrtle)

  • An attractive deciduous flowering tree, with crepe paper like flowers. Flowers vary from white to pink and red. Makes a spectacular specimen tree. Prefers a protected sunny spot, in moist well drained soil. Growing to 5m in height. Dwarf varieties also available.

Xanthostemon Chrysanthus (Golden Penda)

  • A small, bird attracting tree with dark glossy green leaves and clusters of yellow flowers that appear in autumn. Growing to 5m in height this makes an excellent screening plant. Prefers a sunny to partly shaded position in well drained soil.

Leptospermum Madidum (Weeping Tea Tree)

  • This Australian tree has pendulous branches with elegant foliage and a weeping form. Growing to 3m in height this makes an excellent screening plant. Plant in full sun to part shade, in a moist well drained soil. Tolerates coastal conditions.

Syzygium Cascade

  • Strong and hardy tree growing to 3m in height. With pink pompom like flowers that form on the ends of hanging branches. Great for attracting birds. Plant in full sun to part shade.

Hibiscus Tiliaceus (Cottonwood)

  • Fast growing Australian tree with heart shaped dark green leaves and vibrant yellow flowers with crimson centres. An ideal shade tree or screening plant ideal for coastal gardens. Growing to 4-8m in height.
