Water Plants

Water plants help create a balanced ecosystem by providing oxygen, absorbing excess nutrients, and offering shelter to aquatic creatures. They add beauty and tranquility to the surroundings, creating a peaceful and harmonious environment.

Cyperus prolifer (Papyrus)

  • Papyrus produces clumps of upright, sturdy, leafless stems, up to 1 metre high, which in Summer bear decorative star-like bright green flower heads. They are ideal for ponds, water gardens and damp position within the garden. Grows well in sunny position in moist soil or submerged in water.

Nymphoides

  • Lovely aquatic plants with submerged root system and floating leaves that hold the small, delicate flowers just above the surface of the water. They do require full to partial sunlight and prefer calm, shallow water to grow in or a soil mix that retains moisture.

Goodenia humilis (Swamp Goodenia)

  • A hardy Australian native ground cover with bright yellow flowers which sit above the foliage in Spring & Summer. Best suited for moist or poorly drained area or can can be submerged with water just over the rim of the pot. Helps in maintaining water clarity and reduces proliferation of green algae.
